Bob has owned horses since he was a kid. He’s been competing in gymkhana classes for over 35 years with thousands of trophies and ribbons to prove it. Always dressing in black he was given the nickname Black Bart many decades ago and is well recognized all over the Midwest by that alias. He also competes in cowboy mounted shooting but lives for his Wild West Shows where he performs as a Russian Cossack. Thrilling audiences across the country his act is fast-paced and filled with high-energy marksmanship done with a nine-foot battle lance or his Russian saber. Performing at a full gallop, audiences gasp as Ivan and his partner Boris charge straight at each other, passing within inches as Ivan spears a ring out of Boris’ hand with his razor sharp saber. Always wanting to keep his act fresh and entertain the crowds, Bob continuously adds to, and upgrades his act, even throwing in some comedy.
Slicing targets with his saber; lancing rings out of the air, off of stanchions and out of his assistants hands. Throwing spears. Hitting moving targets. Cowboy mounted shooting, hitting aerial targets.
As Cossack Ivan the Black, Bob always does a great PR job for whatever event he is at from Wild West Shows, to horse fairs, to rodeos, etc. He spends his days walking the grounds with his horse, giving kids rides and handing out free souvenir pictures. Bob also has a spectacular, specially choreographed American Flag routine that he has used to open shows or as a finale. This patriotic routine has drawn standing ovations every time.

The Great Throwdini performs a 90+ knife routine, throwing blindfolded, both hands, backhanded and finished the act with impaling a selected card from a deck of cards thrown in the air. Depending on venue the Wheel of Death is available.
Throwdini is the only impalement artist to CATCH knives thrown at him while at the board.
