All About Judy...
Judy Taylor; an accomplished musician, entertainer and award
winning songwriter. She has performed all around the country and parts of
Europe, Mexico and Canada for the past 20 years. She is a powerful solo
performer with a warm effervescent personality and a voice to match. Judy
and her all girl band “ THE WILD OATS “ are an all acoustic band with
excellent harmonies and personalities. Judy grew up in the back -country of
East San Diego. She earned a small salary herding cattle on a working ranch
then went on to training horses. It didn’t take long to realize that music
might be a little easier and safer than the Cow-girl life. Judy still has
the presence of a country girl with a wholesome sincerity in her music. Her
passion for the wild west arts show up in her concerts when she spins a
fancy trick rope and lets out a Patsy Montana yodeling song. Judy now lives
and works from her office and home on The STARBOUND RANCH where she
raises horses and other critters.
 “THE
WILD OATS’ play a variety of music from country, Cajun, Spanish, and
classic rock. Her music can be called Organic Americana. Her sound is
also varied with an assortment of acoustic instruments and tight harmonies.
Her original songs are fun stories of true events and up beat tempos. Her
show is packed with great dance tunes and audience participation. The ladies
can dance, play, sing and put on quite a show! In 1998, Judy won
California Song -Writer of the year award for her CD Cajun Soul.
Now in the works is Judy’s latest CD soon to be released fall of 2003. Again
this new release will have the acoustic quality and heartfelt songs of her
most recent life experiences and adventures.
Current
Projects: Judy has put her life career and achievements into her new
business, a WILD WEST musical production including her all girl band and
dancers along with authentic Bar-B-Q chuck wagon cuisine. Her show has all
the western props and gizmos to set the atmosphere, including a real paint
horse for photo opportunities! Lots of interaction and excitement with trick
roping, bull whip cracking, dancing and cow girl songs. Judy is currently
producing her next CD, performing concerts, weddings and special events.

Judy as a solo can be booked for corporate shows, concerts,
special events, club venues and weddings. Judy can provide a duo, trio or,
if you want the really big show, hire the whole WILD OATS BAND !
Note worthy events- Judy has opened shows for Doc Watson,
Gary Morris, Bill Monroe, and has been featured on local
Television networks. She has been a regular family concert act at the San
Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and many stages across the country.
Judy performs her Wild West show in the local California school
districts, teaching kids about American history and music with some flashy
western art.
